svet koji nestaje part II
ok, these gif animation series which follow are cuts from my favorite VHS documentary from childhood called ”Svet koji nestaje” (”The vanishing world”). It’s about (wild) little pig called Gile. Gile Baksuz. (Gile-The-Bad Luck?)… which is actually 13th unwanted pig who travels trough wood meeting new friends, beings, disasters and new beginnings….

Gnothi Seauton
I will only scatter a few thoughts related to the drawing:
”Gnothi Seauton” (know thyself) was the lintel of the entrance to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi in ancient Greece.
drawing is actually product of thinking about who am ”I”, or what is ”I”, what we know about ourselves, about human? … and while u thinking about it it’s like walking through a labyrinth… Where is our center and what is that Center anyway…? what does it means to be at Home in a spiritual sense…?
what is heart?
human is the Water and human is the Fire
Fire is born out of water and the water is born out of the Fire
in the Center of the man are two ancient Hebrew letters: L (lamed) and B (bet). Those are root of the word ”heart” (LEB) - inner man, mind, will. image which stands for L (on the left) is a shepherd’s crook (which can be translated like ”authority”, ”leadership”) and the image which stands for B (on the right) represents the house (the house from above, something like a tent), which itself looks like a small maze. These two letters are the conclusion of the whole process of thinking. man who ”discovered” itself, the ”I”, is rooted in its center. It is the man who rules above himself, a man who has authority and can be a guide to another …The mystery man. The Light in the dark. and the house/center will always be a small maze, mystery box
(usually letters should be written contrariwise: L on right, B on left, but the idea is that you’re watching yourself in the mirror…)
